Fly Buys Promo

I personally wouldn't be surprised if there was a name change. Re-branding is expensive of course, but doesn't mean they haven't factored that cost into the budget. It looks to me like JB has got a war chest of money to make this a new airline... That's what the TV ads have been telling us at least anyway. One an interesting side note, I haven't been following the timings between all major announcements, but the CSM on my DJ flight last Wednesday said that all major changes have been being made on a 3 weekly schedule. "Something new every 3 weeks" were her words, or to that effect. It'd be interesting to track back.

Who really knows what's going to happen? We could argue both alternatives for ever (or until VA reveals the new FF program )

Fingers crossed for 'Virgin Australia Flying Club' - *runs away to avoid being beaten to death by angry mob*

Let the record show that a name change did occur, although Velocity remains, its no longer "Velocity Rewards" but "Velocity Frequent Flyer" with a minor logo change.

Mmm. Like Noob I was hoping for 'Virgin Australia Flying Club'. Oh well..

As I and others pointed out, once they launched the credit card it would be nearly impossible to change the "Velocity" name. The new logo cost money, the new cards and credit cards cost money. They are committed to "Velocity". They have now tweaked it slightly, but it's essentially the same name with a small change - which means they don't have to change every frickin' member card or credit card. Which they were never going to do, for the record.
