Fly Cathay Pacific Premium Economy from Australia and earn 8,000 bonus Asia Miles

Cathay is running a promo for its loyalty program members who book a return Premium Economy airfare on CX out of Australia. Must book by 19 July 2024 and travel by 30 April 2025.

You need to be signed into your Cathay account and enter a code when searching for flights on the Cathay Pacific website. There are various other T&Cs.

Saw it in the various ads around and thought about it for a moment. Flying Y+ to HKG would earn 8000 miles on a return journey so this would just be a 2x.

If you go beyond HKG, it can be significantly less than 2x as it's just a one off I believe.

So whilst a reasonable deal it isn't super appealing for me to consider unless it can work with some combination of cheap Y+ connection intra asia and cheap Y to HKG.
