Fly Well. New QF Covid procedures

An epidemiologist told me if I have to get on a plane to turn the vent on full bore and have that blowing over my head the whole time because that air is a lot cleaner than anything else especially the toilets and the boarding tunnels

And others have said to angle it in front of you to where you draw breath not on top of your head... who to listen to :)

If you guys are that worried about catching Rona maybe stay at home...

Yes you can do that I guess, I’m being cautious but life goes on. I’m probably back up to 75% of my pre-covid travelling now, before the latest flurry of panicked border closures, but we hope the eastern corridor to be all opened up again in a few weeks.

I flew yesterday, wore an N95 mask and didnt eat or drink in the airport or onboard. Since we can only fly domestically atm, its not very hard to stay masked for a couple of hours.

Eat or drink in the lounge before departure or wait til you get ot your destination where its much easier to keep your distance from other people.

Everyone except a few todllers, veryone esle was masked on yesterday flight. One numpty kept taking off her mask whenever she said something to her friend, the FA soon shut that practice down. Similarly a numpty row in front of me had his mask around his chin instead of over his nose and mouth, FA told him there was still stime to offboard him if he didnt wear it correctly - that got a round of applause from nearby passnegers - and saw him comply.

I’m not worried at all, I’ve got better chances of winning the lottery than catching covid on a flight.
