Yes, I read that as well and initially thought that the promotion therefore was only directed at those who link their account during the period. However, reading further you will see that it also includes anyone who transfers points during the promotion. Those linking during the period receive 1000 entries for that process.

Haven't most of us transferred our FlyBuys during one of the recent promos...they still think there are plenty of people out there that aren't using FlyBuys for the discounts?

I get the emails constantly with 10% bonus velocity points for converting Flybys points into Velocity.
I still haven't taken up the offer, as I quite like the way Flybys points can offset the ticket price on travel on most carriers on the Flybys Travel portal.
It's particularly useful for QF IME.

the really annoying thing about this promotion is that the 10% transfer (i got an extra 5% offer) ended 31 July. So naturally I transferred a lot of points on 30 July. Missed out on double dipping into this new promotion.

Got a (spend $70 and get a 1,000 Flybuy bonus points) offer of late, did that got a 1,000 Flybuys points, plus my 1111 Flybuy points sitting there, and moved 2,000 to Velocity late yesterday.
In the past few days, was able to use up 4411 VFF points to get to reduce my fare SYD - ADL in economyX for Oct.
Mmm, so nice to have this, pity QF and WW can't do the same thing.
Collecting VFF points can't be or more so shouldn't be this so easy eh?
Just saying.
But might as well enjoy it.
Fingers crossed I will be one of the big winners.
