Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Have you managed to monetise the light bulbs?

Well each bulb cost me 25 to 35 cents.
So if I sell them at any amount above it, I'd be in profit.
Even if I dont sell them it was a good excercise to gain points. I used egift cards to buy them so was good. $$75+Small fuel amount was total I'd spent in the exercise.

Value wasnt as good as the dog food promo, that was dangerous! @ $3 per pop profit.

Coles same store sales must be looking pretty sick if the latest 4 week offer emails are anything to go by.

Every account in the family has got the 4 wks @ $50/wk spend for 10,000 points or $50.

I cannot recall every account getting the 4 wk offer before nor them all being at $50/wk hurdle either.

Due to first period being ten days it makes the spending hurdle from accepting several a little less onerous. Spreading it out over 5 weekends all helps. Shame we don't really know anyone who we could buy up for and take advantage of every offer -sniff, sniff :(

For several accounts it follows directly on from a 4wk 10k offer that finished 2 weeks back.

Poor W does not remember what we look like.

Just got an offer for 25x points on any of the Maggi range.
Activated and my flybuys page gives me a message-that offer doesn't exist.

Though in my case the 4 week Coles offer for 10000 points is always $130.
Woollies multiple week offers are ~ $50-80 and often with multiple spends. So Coles offers only get taken up if working in Tassie.

Coles media/marketing follows the 'Cart before horse' strategy.

Pay peanuts you get monkeys, pay cashews they still get monkeys....

Coles starts sending out the 12 million emails in tranches BEFORE they have processed the offers that the emails concern. The first half dozen tranches will often be received before the offers have been set up.

No longer need common sense to get an IT degree (and job) these days.

Got an interesting offer..

Spend $180 or more from Weds to Fri and get 10800 points.

Hope that target is not too much of a challenge for your 'storage' space and there are enough half price specials to make it even more rewarding!

Stacks up (no pun intended) very well vs the 4wk $50/wk 10,000 pt offers but is the $180 much higher than your normal weekly spend?

We're currently facing every FB account getting good offers and it appears that W may have noticed as after a famine we now have a bevy of good offers from them. So many offers and so little storage capacity....

After all who knew we would get multiple 4 wk 10,000 points offers successively across family accounts. Currently W is fighting back with instant bonuses of 1,000 pts for $30, 2,000 for $40 and 3,000 for $50 on successive week spends across multiple accounts, and starting on successive weeks to compound the problem (1st world that is!).

So distressing not to physically be able take up every FB 10,000 pt 4 wk offer - :(

It's funny how some days you try so easy to spend the amounted targets
Now when there are offers you are hard to find things to buy.

Ive already bought most of my stuff from amazon AU, so this one is a but of a surprise.

I dont even get emails nowdays, I just check the app and activate the offers asap. Strange that I dont get emailed the offers but they are in the account. I must be like a high value target with over 4k in flybuy dollars. hmmmmm

Sometimes it works if you go and edit your communication preferences, log out, log back in and change them back to email for as many as you wish. Worked for 2 of our accounts recently.

Just received an email headed 'Collect 1,150 BONUS POINTS this week at Coles!'

The email has two offers -

Collect 350 BONUS POINTS when you purchase from the Heritage Mill range. Redeemable Once.

Collect 400 BONUS POINTS when you purchase Castello® Creamy Havarti 200g.

That adds up to 750 points! To get to 1150 points I would have to redeem the Castello offer twice.

Any ideas? Work experience kids writing the headings perhaps?

Ha! I only got the Havarti offer. I’ve had it before & it’s delish (and last time I stocked up cause it was half price & available multiple times....)

How strange, in conjunction with the spend 180 by today to get 10800 points, which I haven't used yet. I got another spend 180 to get 10800 points, from sat to Tuesday.

Gonna be hard to spend that much now I think. Dammmmit

Interesting offer of spend $130 for 2,000 points. That's an increase on the offer of $110 I could not achieve.

Think they are sharing staff with Woolworths.

That’s when you move to the competitor until they realise that some people are not just gonna participate in such ridiculous threshold to achieve.

I just went to Woolworths this week in Brisbane first time in a while.

Where is @flybuys? Spend targets increased because I bought gift vouchers that are not included as part of spend targets. Silly algorithm. Latest increase makes no sense as $60 is a stretch.

The flybuys rep is still around. They were chasing up bonus points in the General offers thread recently. The gift card thing is really annoying but it does go down eventually.
