Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

So the spend hurdle has been coming down nicely @JohnK, when are you going to bite?
That's my wife's account. That spend hurdle has never increased above $70. We need baby formula so if I can find any this week then I'll spend the $50 otherwise we just don't spend that much a week unless they have the 10,000 bonus points for 4 x $50 spend.

My spend hurdle is still $190+ which I am ignoring. Also need one or two JQ gift cards this week.

Time for some Nappies or more baby formula in BNE or SYD @JohnK?
Enough for quite a while but that's another fight.

There was no Aptamil Stage 4 at Coles last week. There was a guy stocking the shelves and they only had Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3. I was staring at the shelves when he scanned the Stage 4 barcode and said there are 5 Stage 4 tins still in store or in someone's trolley. And yep 2 tins of Stage 4 hidden behind the smaller packets of Stage 4 formula.

Unbelievable. Guy said they hide the formula, go home change and come back to get more. I thought that ship had sailed with China charging high import duty if you're found entering the country with many tins of baby formula.

I've now received offer of 2,500 bonus points for $190 spend this week.

Hahaha. I've spent $25 today.

Just out of interest if you get a targeted offer that doesn't say how many times you can redeem it, can you basically just keep using it?

I've used some great none restricted offers before and bought quite a few things, nothing to what I am planing for this one, but I have just got an offer through from a brand for 1000 bonus points for something that is currently retailing very cheap for its cheapest product included in the offer.

I know when shopping online it says max 12 in a promo, is this per order/offer/day/week? I need to know how far I can push it!!!

Yes, but these offers are rare. Check the wording very carefully. Keep copies of everything and be prepared to fight for it.

Cheers, I have screen shots already from before my first purchase, in the description it does say "On ANY -brand- - products-" but has pictures of a specific product, in the T&C's it says the same, the only exclusion is disposables which is easy enough to work around.

The reason I'm being a bit secretive about the brand and product is that the cheapest product in the offer is only just under $4 as it is also on sale at the moment.

$4 for 1000 bonus points, it would be rude not to..........5 days left how many can I find.....haha

Ive been holding off ordering approx $600 from Coles, waiting for some offers and nothing all week :(

Hi

I'll let the cat out of the bag as I have the same offer. :)

It's an offer of 1000 points for ANY (their emphasis) Gillette blade or razer excluding disposables.

I purchased 3 razors last night to test whether I get 1000 points for each. I also emailed Flybuys to confirm that you can get multiple bonuses and to clarify which products are eligible.

I see this offer as a good way to cut the cost of my shopping. Taking advantage of the offer without checking with Flybuys could result in a close shave. it may not be the best offer but at the moment it's the best a man can get.

cheers Peter

The first rule of chasing points is to never email for confirmation! Ever.

I have gone back and double checked some of my recent offers, and have found two that don't say 'BONUS POINTS can only be collected once per flybuys account.' One for food, and one for personal care. I wonder how much I can fit in my cupboard/bathroom? :D

On the other hand if they say yes and then you go out and buy a lot of stuff they can hardly say no to crediting the points. You relied on their statement.
Except they are more likely to say no and pull the offer for everyone. At the moment you have enough to go on in the offer T&Cs to argue the case if they don't credit the points... until they read your email and realise they have stuffed up.
