Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Received 2 offers one for me of spend $50 x 4 weeks for 10000 bonus points and for wife of spend $60 x 4 weeks for 10000 bonus points.

Only able to achieve 1 offer.

Thanks @AisleSeat I’ll have to close out of the App and restart to see if that works. At least I know their background system hasn’t forgotten that I am still active with this offer, as I received this email this afternoon:

Thanks @flybuys for confirming the glitch.

Did a (small) shop that ended up being $200+ :o, however at least I hit the Week 2 target. Let's see if the App and online system update me properly this time...

Anyone know how long it takes for some of the 1000 point click and collect to show in accounts. Sure I did some a couple of weeks ago... online orders for click and collect but no 1000 points yet? Is this other people's experiences?

Were you expecting to get 1000 points per transaction? I was but only got one credit of 1000 points even though I made 12 purchases at different times and dates... I did check the T & C's before and after but now Flybuys when contacted on the phone won't have a bar of it...

I received a pretty good offer today:

Collect 10,000 flybuys BONUS POINTS when you shop online with Coles.
That's $50 worth of points!
Simply spend $200 or more and place your delivery order before Sunday 25 August 2019.

This is on top of my current offer of spend $160 per week for 4 weeks to get 10,000 Flybuy points (which I completed yesterday).

I failed again on Week 3 of my 10K challenge because my kids have switched their allegiances to Woolies (because of the Lion King things). I also got a 4K bonus point offer for online shopping and 130 hurdle. May consider it.

I've had a flurry this week. With 4 active accounts:
  1. Week 4 of a 10k for 4*50, so not much happening there.
  2. Had 1 shop $50 for 1000 points earlier in the week (finish today) not taken now $50 for 2000 points.
  3. Had 1 shop $80 for 1000 points earlier in the week (finish today) not taken now $50 for 2000 points.
  4. Had 1 shop $90 for 1000 points earlier in the week (finish today) not taken now $100 for 4000 points

Coles must be really playing us.
Past 2500 bonus points for buying more than $150 groceries, which I met, past $90 I had met the needs too, got the points.
Now they are asking for spending of $160 for 2500 bonus points.
Have to spend $10 more for same number of bonus points.

You will find that if you miss a few, the spending amount will soon go down.

It's a simple fact of Marketing trying to get you to spend more to achieve the same number of bonus points. In doing so, they find your tipping point. So I always register but rarely spend - and voila, my spend hurdle comes down.

I got 10,000 points for $260 spend but no need of a shop so registered but will do nothing for a couple of weeks.

Got this which I'm happy with.. one of best offers through Coles

I have spend $150 for 6000 points pop up today and a spend $140 for 2000 points ending today.... I was tempted for a minute but not going to follow through on it.
Just got back from Coles where I saw the Gillette Razor in the offer I have on special for 40% off - paid $8.xx and will get 1000 points.

Hello all,

I would like clarification on something. I figure the gurus in this thread would know. When I get a spend $x and get xx_x points offer, gift cards, iTunes cards, throw away Visa cards, tobacco etc are excluded. But I think I saw someone in one of these threads say they were topping up their Opal card and receiving the bonus points. So my question is - are Opal card top ups excluded from, or permissible, in these bonus points offers?

Thanking you

I enquired with Flybuys and recieved an assurance that Opal card spend qualified. Had a 2000 pts for $60 spend last week so tried it out. 2000pts hit my account yesterday. Have another 2800 pts for $70 spend now so I will load $70 onto Mrs Woodyren card tomorrow.

Received 4 offers:
  1. $50 for 2k points
  2. $50 for 2k points
  3. $90 for 3600 points
  4. $100 for 4k points.
All the standard 3 day period expiring tomorrow.

I received a $150 for 6k points but have to let that go as I leave the country in a few days. I'm not sure if it was a targeted promotion but I did receive a bonus 10 points per $1 on flybuys travel site wide. Purchased a number of US domestic flights for next week, all of which will earn Velocity points as well.

I've a theory, now that Woolworths have decided to make their 10% discount on first shop of 2nd weekend of month (rather than the random weekend of the month), Coles are going into overdrive with those offers which appear to be 20% for that weekend. Of course this only applies to those that can receive the discount, generally those with a Woolworths product (insuarance, CC etc.)

Further to the conspiracy theory is only the week earlier, a few of the accounts received one of those after shop surveys but this time it was asking about shopping habits and delving into the choices of which Supermarkets to go to and comparing offers between WOW and Coles.
