Are you talking about the one off Visa 1 offer or the Coles Pre paid mastercard offer?

If you are talking about the Visa 1 offer, $50 is the best value for these unless you wanted to buy the David Jones gift voucher, which has no activation fee.

If you are talking about the Coles Pre paid mastercard offer, you want the $100 version. You will loose money on the $50 version.

But as you can only buy one, you get the opportunity to earn more Edge points with the $100.
Which is better will depend on how easily it is for the individual to get Edge points via other giftcards

It's only 500 FB bonus points ($2.50) on the $50 card. The card purchase fee remains $5, so you'd make a cash loss of $2.50.

I say cash loss because it depends how you value the CC reward points you earn.

This is why I love this forum - you've saved me from terribly over purchasing these by triggering a re-read of the t&cs. I thought this was the buy-as-many-as-you-like, but it's actually a faux-targeted version of the catalogue offer with a one per household limit:

TL;DR: I crossed my wires and thought this offer was the prepaid MC, unlimited volume offer.

We identified a problem with the set-up of this promotion which meant some members didn't receive their bonus points for purchases on the 1st or 2nd Feb. This has now been rectified. We expect these points will be credited by Monday 6th. For the remainder of the promotion, all members can expect to receive their bonus points as the same time as their standard points. We're sorry for any inconvenience.

My Visa and Mastercard bonus points came through over the weekend. No $100 MasterCard left but the sales staff found one which I took with the $50 Visa.

Liquorland bonus offers are a total PITA - got the 10x bonus (email) post relatively quickly, but not the voucher for 1000 points as a part of the bonus vouchers received in the post...
