I am looking at flying Aeroflot J from Bangkok to Moscow, has anyone had any experience in the Aeroflot A330 J product ?
I grew up with Aeroflot having a terrible reputation and I wondering if I should have a more open mind theses days ?

Cheers

It's a standard angled lie-flat(ish) product. You can google 'aeroflot business class a330' and under 'images' you'll get the general idea.

Food is supposed to be quite good these days.

there is a trip report here: Flight Review: Aeroflot A330 Business Class, JFK to SVO - The Forward Cabin

I have flown Aeroflot many times long haul, not in J though but done a330 twice, the J seat seemed to be fairly comfy and very similar to the MH J seat.
Aeroflot food is one of the best out there, both in economy and in business, much better than that of Qantas, for example.
Service will be good, too, just don't expect any smiles.
however, BKK to SVO is a major holiday route so the plane is likely to be full of drunk Russian package tourists

I flew them Warsaw to Moscow in late 2013, I was in economy but business looked good. Service was spot on and the plane was quite new and clean, and yes some passengers were told to stop drinking vodka straight from the bottle they bought on board, hilarious.

I've flown them a few times, but only in Y class and on domestic routes. Service was good and food was good. I've heard good things about their long haul J service/food.

Thanks for all your comments.
I think I will give it a go. I am not flying until October, though once I do, I will post a trip report.

I too would love to read a trip report on your experience. To me, my immediate impression (based on absolutely zero evidence) is that Aeroflot J is an oxymoron.
