Flying CX as QF WP questions

CX does offer First Class on some services to/from BKK and ICN. So they need the capability for F class check-in. They do not offer First Class on any flight to/from any port in Australia on any day, so no need for F check-in at any Australian ports.

They do have a "First Class" lane at Perth FWIW, but it leads to the business class check-in desks.

reading the post I think the lounge attendant was trying to be helpful. Not denying access. Pointing the guest to the OWE lounge not the OWS.

Oh, absolutely. She was just pointing out that I had access to another higher level of lounge. I'm sure if I'd said that I was happy there, and wanted to visit it as I'd already visited the Wing the week before, she would have let me in. I'm not complaining, just pointing out to any other WPs that you might be offered an FLounge at the J Lounge. :)

I am just going over my booking and this also being my first time flying Cathay and notice that I can select an 'extra legroom' seat on the Cathay website. It comes up with a popup that it costs and extra $100 per sector but one world ruby, sapphire and emerald can ring up and do it free of charge.

Whilst that seems good, is there a chance that I would get bumped if someone was willing to pay the extra for the seat. I currently have aisles on all 4 legs which are my preference but just don't want to shoot myself in the foot and end up in the centre somewhere. I am 184 cm (6 ft 1 in) tall and don't really sleep much on the plane anyway. Weighing up being cold near the exit, bumped by people lining up for the toilet etc vs having legroom.

I did CX in Feb last year and customer service was awesome.

I am doing some CX flights in Feb.

Looking forward to some F lounge action in HKG and also SIN and i am not sure if they have a F lounge in MNL.

The OneWorld lounge at MNL is a very basic lounge and you have to go out of the lounge to use the toilet. No shower there either.

However, I did find a place to get a very nice massage in the waiting area outside of the lounge.

Thinking about another thread that we have running.

Is it worse the HBA QP or better.

Thanks,

I have an early flight so will have a shower before I leave the hotel and also get an early breakfast service as well.
