Lounge access and the status points bonus are the only two I am aware of.

I note Jetstar offer a Plus Bundle option, I am guessing if status credits are available to status members on Jetstar then the Plus Bundle extras are given to status members without having to pay for it ?

No, if you want the status credits, you need to pay for the bundle.

Though it has been noted a few members being placed in exit row seats on JQ35 runs on presentation of QFF status cards, while they usually try sell these seats. Probably more about who is serving you than anything else.

I always get row 1 on JQ domestic as of about 3/4 months ago. Happy but not sure why it started happening!
(QF plat)

I always get row 1 too, but I know the reason. I pay the $12 :)

Ive had quite a good number of Exit rows assigned to me at check-in although on all occaisions i have paid for the plus bundle.
Others have had zero luck at all in relation to this.

I think this one rally does equal YMMV

I think the general attitude is 'don't care, different carrier', at least this seems to be what its like in SIN with JQ Asia.

Funny story, last time I was in SIN I took a 3K flight from SIN-HKG, upon checking in I gave the agent my FF Card, and she said to me "sir, we don't need to see your credit card, all your details have been confirmed". I said "no, sorry, this is my Qantas FF card, can you put it on my PNR?"...

the thousand mile stare...

It's $80 on a SYD MEL leg!

And don't even dream of trying to pay it after the booking has already been made.........

Before we veer off topic - my opinion is, no, Qantas frequent flyers receive no benefits flying JQ, unless the Qantas Club is open.

But they are able to pay for overpriced SC's and Points if they really like paying through the nose for them.

After over 360 flights with J* (MCY-SYD-MCY) I never felt any love over & above any other paying passenger.......alway flew Jetmax, sat in an exit row and SC earn was 20 each way. With my nearly 4 years of weekly commuting the ticket price was pretty well fixed at around $600 return.

What did I get from the deal?

WP in about 7.5 months
QP access at T2
Exit row every flight
Dirty seats
An amazing array of seat partners - from first time flyers to famous people making their way to or from their costal holiday homes
Young (good looking) FA's that in the main were very service orientated

If you're a QFF & your home port is serviced by J* there's not much you can do about it.

Why would you get the Max bundle when you can get a starter plus bundle?

It works out very good when you can get some of the better JQ specials.

I found this with the 2-4-1 sale, everything (Starter Plus Bundle, Luggage, seats) for under $400 return PER-MEL for 2.
Add to this the free exit row (at check in) coming back it wasn't too bad.

The only problem is points and SC's taking 8 weeks to post.

I miss the days where you could buy a cheap JQ international fare (like $70 to SIN) and then pay for an on departure upgrade on checkin (fixed at $400) for a full QF business SC earning, lounge access flights.
