Trying to catch QF11 Nov 26th SYD to LAX, then LAX to JFK Nov 30th (preference is again QF11) then QF12 JFK to SYD Dec 19th
All business
The app keeps sending me via San Francisco, then AA. It doesn't give me any business class seats at all.
I spoke to Qantas apparently only regular seats are available which puts the ticket at $17500 return
I havnt come across that before.
Is it likely that the flights will reduce in price?
The dates are preferable as husband is on the Dec date coming home albeit on an excellent rewards flight 1st class on Cathay
Any suggestions or advice?
Thanks

You can - book through the website as multi-city. It is allowed as a "stop over" so you have to actually use QF11 to get to NYC.

I've just tried to do it and there does seem to be a glitch in the system. QF11 shows on the 30th but only as available in premium economy. If I was a betting man I would guess this may be because they are expecting QF11 to be a 787 by then but haven't loaded it properly into the system or are holding off the sale of any more business seats given there are many less than on the 747.
