Flying to Bali on JQ, using ADL Qantas lounge / timing.

Hello!

I'm wondering if more knowledgeable heads than mine can provide advice.
We are flying early on a JetStar flight to Bali.

Once we're checked in and through domestic security, is there anything stopping us from accessing the Qantas lounge (I have PC+) prior to heading to immigration?
I realise it may not be open as we will be at the airport early, but I'd like to know even theoretically. JetStar like people checked in quite early, and Adelaide international has exactly nothing to do once you're through immigration.

In the past we've hung out in the virgin domestic lounge prior to going through immigration.

From memory the club opens at 5am so might be possible for a brief visit.

Not sure what you mean by PC+ for status.

But you will only get access on a Jetstar flight with Qantas status, not other Oneworld airlines

Presumably means Points Club Plus, so should have QANTAS Club. Even without FF status that should provide entry I would think.

A friend asked me yesterday if there’s anything at international once you go through. They are travelling in a group of 10 including children to Fiji about noon. So your advice would be eat in domestic and stay there as long as possible? They don’t have any lounge access. It doesn’t sound as though you’d want to go to international until you really had to. They’re worried about hungry kids arriving late to hotel in Fiji! Take snacks, I suggested!

There are a heap of cafes/eateries down near the entrance to the International area with plenty of seating available. I’d stay there as long as possible and depending on the time of day immigration can be done in as little as 5 minutes but allow sufficient time for a group and check in advance to see if the NZ flight is leaving around the same time as yours as multiple departures will slow things down a bit

Yes, go to the lounge. Lounge staff will advise you when you should leave for your flight. The longest part of leaving from the lounge to get to the international boarding gate is the walk. Security and immigration took all of two minutes.

They don’t have access for the 10 family members but I’ll pass on how fast the security immigration is. Thank you!

There is a NZ ADL-AKL flight that leaves around midday a couple of days per week so I’ve heard immigration can be a bit busier but it might take you 10-15 minutes to get through instead of 5 minutes on those days.

I wonder if this might pave way for a future entrant Singapore-Australia with Finnair. It would be a new way to Europe and would be no shortage of traffic. I would happily fly them on a Singapore leg. They might get a sense of some financial numbers throughout this project, would be good to see them permanently make an appearance after this deal ends.
