Flying to different city for aircraft preference

Yikes! One of the option for flying BNE-DOH is actually via Sydney and that pre-existing itinerary only allows 2 hours. So, I wonder how they justify that, given your experience.

I’ve read that, while it isn’t free, the train comes more frequently than the bus and tends to be a lot less busy. So, it’s definitely an option I’d consider.

I’m rather hoping that flying on a Thursday when it’s not school holidays might help with the busy-ness aspect, but it’s impossible to know…

Appreciate your insights, though! I did end up booking it as planned, but couldn’t get it on a single itinerary without paying almost $500 more, so I booked it separately.

I hope, too, that it will be a happy and stress free trip! Thank you :)

Thank you for the reassurance! (and the self-awareness ;) )

The way I’ve planned it, we’ll collect the kids from school at second break on the way to the airport, then hubby and kids can hang out with me in the lounge until I have to go.
