I've searched in this forum and elsewhere and found contradictory stories, so would appreciate any actual experiemces that you can share.

I'm looking at booking Singapore Airline flights via the Virgin website, flights with VA codes. If it is relevant, they will be J, cash or points. My question is about seat selection.

My understanding is that most likely I can access the Singapore Air PNR (possibly by phoning Virgin guest centre), then access the booking via the SA website and make my selection. However I have also read horror stories about people being unable to do this.

Can anybody clear up the confudsion for me please? Thanks.

Last week I booked a J reward seat and my booking confirmation had the SQ reference number, no issues with selecting seats online
hope that helps!

Thanks masterpabu. I booked the seats thru Virgin web site, was able to immediately access SQ web site to select seats, no drama!

Couldn't access page to add passport details etc, though, no biggie, will have to do at airport.
