I agree with other posters, purchase a set or ear planes. The pain of being unable to equalise is beyond belief. I nearly terminated my connecting flight but was saved by ear planes purchased at the new agents at BNE. I also recommend pseudoephedrine or other equivalent as a back up and take a box of tissues. While I'm not a medical practitioner, having had the flu and an acute hayfever reaction this is the best I can offer you. If your really hard up grab a prescription of Nasonex nasal spray. All of that combined will see your nasal passage dryer than the Antarctic polar region!
