The Amazon Prime Air runway overrun at YVR (18Nov24) was also a former (1994 built) QF 767-300ER VH-OGN which later became C-GOGN with WestJet, then finally as C-GAZI with CargoJet/Amazon Prime Air
 
Must be QF's fault somehow then.

The trace for this accident is interesting. He seems a bit low at the start, and his sink rate below 1,000' is definitely too high. Speed and heading look okay. It's just been flown into the ground.
 
I think it’s testament to the care they got here during their service that they lasted so long.

Looks like a miracle with no fatalities

The linked report says "One of the four occupants perished and the aircraft was destroyed.". Very sad for the loss of live, but miraculous that three did survive.
 
Apparently a Polish air navigation aid calibration aircraft has been working there for the last few hours. It might just be a normal precaution, but interesting nevertheless.

Why? It will probably be pilot error and nothing to do with the aircraft. Can't see any reason to be high and mighty because the machine was ex QF! I'm sure the investigation and report will inform in due course.

Ex Qantas aircraft have historically been keenly sought in the market based on their condition being above average compared to other options, previously due to their in-house mro operation.
In the past ten years this has ceased to be the case and are now usually parted out on retirement.

I wasn’t making a comment on this specific accident, just pointing out the above fact is why you see many ex QF birds around.

A bit of a leap, don't you think? For a start it's a part of the world in which there is very active spoofing of navigation aids. Plus 'pilot error' has always been a catch all phrase, often hiding other causes. In particular, there has never been an accident due to fatigue ('cos they always end up recorded as pilot error).

While this video makes it look like they tried to pull up.
This angle is pretty clearly showing the side of the fuselage, and tail, and yes, it does show exactly the sort of pull up you’d expect if suddenly realising you’re about to impact the ground.

The accident investigation will obviously work out the exact positions, geometry and timeline, but perhaps the sequence here is the video showing the pull up first, and then the second, with the pitch down, and roll.

Conjecture only, but, I wonder if the pull up was harsh enough to stall the aircraft, with the pitch down and roll being the outcome.
 
They should read AFF. That’s pretty much what the OP said here two days ago.

Not sure why QF is relevant to their reporting of the crash other than clickbait. Hasnt been in QF fleet for more than a decade

Similar to them reporting “massive import tariff proposed for china” (actually 10% as opposed early reports of 60%) and zero mention in same bulletin of Canada or Mexico 25%
