Formula for Priority Club Miles?

Yes it is, for some reason I thought it was 1000, but thats the flat rate when you sign up with PC at the time of your first stay.

So for a one-night-stand, 2000 PC points is reasonable value, but for longer stays is poor, especially when compared to the promo boni that can be earned at some other PC properties

Not really, you would be lucky to find a room under $200 a night no matter how long you stay at an IC in Australia, a one night stay will normally be closer to $300 at the Australian ICs, however if you have the Ambassador Accelerator the picture does change again!

Just rang and they are quoting 3miles per dollar for Aust intercontinental properties and flat 600 miles per stay for QFF and 1000 miles per stay for velocity at intercontinentals outside Aust but excluding US ones

For Velocity, it is 3 points per AUD when staying in an Australian property, as per the link I posted above

Here is an example from December for the IC SYD $372 AUD $392 USD:

Thats a lot better than 2000 PC points (that was a single nights rate BTW - using a BOGO).

Yeah markis10 I found the link to the earning table when I got off the iphone onto a pc , what the call centre told me was not correct..
So then, if I am staying in say Fiji for several days, then the best value collection method is perhaps... the Hilton

If earning airline miles/points directly (i.e. provide your airline membership details in the booking/check-in), then there is no status multiplier. For QFF points its 3 points per A$ spent. The status multiplier is only for Priority Club points earning.

Unless you use Hotelclub and credit to Velocity which offers 3 points per AUD plus a status multiplier, which is an alternative to PC, any bookings done that way won't count as eligible stays for PC, so currently the PC 2 x promo offers better value.
