Forty and some food festivities

Through Trip Advisor, we found a great little okonomiyaki restaurant about 5 minutes from our hotel called Kiji Okonomiyaki. Part of a chain that started in Osaka, we headed there for an early lunch at about 11.30am. We waited in a queue for 15 minutes and they took our order whilst waiting. There are hot plates at your seats and they cook it and bring it over to you hotplate. Super tasty and about $10 per okonokiyaki. The beef tendon one was my favourite. We liked it so much we went back the next day!

We also visited Sushizanmai at the Tsujiki Fish Market. There are other locations around Tokyo. A late lunch expedition for some reasonable sushi.

We also did a few touristy things - went to Yoyogi Park, Asakusa, the gardens outside the Imperial Palace, Ginza. We have been to Tokyo before so have been to some of the sights already.

It was quickly time to get ready to return home. The FS Tokyo was a good hotel to be based in. Being so close to Tokyo Station was great. Lots of subway lines near by and the food offering at Tokyo Station is large and diverse. They catered well for our little man - cot, toy, bath accessories, nappies. The room itself was small but probably fairly standard for Tokyo. We had room service a few times and the food was good but expensive as expected. It isn't as nice as FSHK but i think that FS Tokyo is a lower price point. If the price was right, I would stay here again.

Nom nom nom I am very hungry after seeing all the gastronomic food photos :) :)

I will be in Tokyo for a quick visit in mid July so I might have to save my pennies between now and then, so I can visit some of the restaurants you dined at.
