Forum update bugs?

I think I found a workaround. If you get the pop up. Close that window (click “X”) and then refresh the browser page.

Your first post should be there sans evil twin.
This issue seems to be sporadic for me as I didn't encounter it until my previous post on another thread but I remembered this workaround

Hi everyone,

Good news! The double posting issue that some of you were experiencing should now be resolved. Unfortunately, this does mean the "double posting credits" promotion has officially ended, but we hope this clears up the confusion!

As always, thank you all for your feedback on the Xenforo 2.3 update and for highlighting some of the quirks, bugs, and unexpected enhancements that came with it. We're continuing to tweak things based on your input to improve the overall experience.

@admin

"New Posts" works as before ...

Except there's now no little x option to do simply do a new search to show all recent posts, irrespective of having been read.

Is there a recent posts search available?

The “who’s seen this thread in the last hour” feature seems to have been removed?

Hi everyone,

We’re currently working on refreshing some of our forum’s add-ons and plug-ins to improve functionality and boost your overall experience. These updates will not only offer better performance but also help solve some of the bugs that have been mentioned.

We appreciate your feedback and welcome any input during this process.

Search seems broken. I’ve tried a lot of terms that should have results but it finds no results.

Today I did a long post and then clicked reply and got the oops, please refresh the browser message. Did that and went back in and the complete message was deleted.

Hi everyone,

We have successfully refreshed some of our forum’s add-ons and plug-ins today. These updates should solve some/most of the bugs that have been mentioned.

Once again, we appreciate your feedback and welcome any input.

While you are here @admin ... Ordinary users can edit their posts for 24 hrs I think. Moderators can do so at any time.

We have sanctioned social events being organised by various people and its customary for an early post in the thread to be updated as to attendees or activities.

Moderators always oblige by doing the updates, but would it be possible for the organiser of a sanctioned event to be granted the ability to lae-edit early posts of their thread themselves? Just simpler and fairer.

One minor annoyance I've found is the notifications drop-down tends to show up under the vertical sidebar ad.

I'm using Safari on macOS Sequoia.
