Four-Year Status Match with Starlux

Mine is 31/12/23, hopefully we see an alliance and/or some partnerships start to appear, making starlux more relevant for us in AU.

Mine shows till Jan 2025 too.
Wasn‘t that part of the deal for the original “4 year” SM?

They subsequently changed the promo to ~2 years (which is why some of us have 31 Dec 2023 inclusive of Covid extension).

Yep. Initially it was a 4 year match. I missed out on that.
I’d be interested to see if anyone has got any use out of this SM and what the Starlux recognition was like for their Elites

You're quite correct. I forgot about that.

Just with some anecdotal evidence from other blogs (OMAAT, among others), seems like JX premium cabin offerings carry a heavy price premium over both CI and BR - can you guys see them really competing in Australia, considering the amount of business travel is down, and general business travel from Taiwan to Aus isn't nearly as strong as to Silicon Valley? Don't see them positioning themselves as hub-and-spoke for leisure (in Y) to Asia, and we already have great options to the US.

Probably not. Just posting in the context of a few of us getting the SM and probably not (been able to) set foot on one of their planes.

Thank you for your continuous attention and support to STARLUX Airlines.

To celebrate the launch our first USA route in 2023, Taipei to Los Angelas, we have co-branded with the MLB Dodgers and NBA Clippers for INSIGHTER’s annual exclusive gift.

INSIGHTER taking STARLUX flight departing from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport starting from Aug 22,2023 may visit STARLUX ticketing counter in the Departure Hall of Taoyuan airport to claim the exclusive gift simply by presenting the electronic COSMILE member ID and passport after completing the flight check-in process.

Let’s fly with the passion of sport and embark on this unforgettable journey with STARLUX Airlines.

Reminder

1. Each INSIGHTER is eligible to claim the gift in person once after checking-in for STARLUX flight departing from Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
2. The gifts are provided in a finite quantity and only available while stock lasts.
3. Return and exchange will not be accepted after the gift is claimed.

Reported over on FT that the CEO of Starlux has taken the initial steps to join OW. Apparently about 2 yrs away.

Edit: for the grammar police, that’s Starlux joining OW, not specifically their CEO 😉.
