Free cancellation within 24hrs of booking flights?

Wow VA's generosity knows know no-bounds on this front, by the sounds of it. Much worse than I expected.

Note to self, don't book on VA and then decide to cancel 5 mins later

With QANTAS I have booked seats separatly for two people as some points redemption were involved and then rang to link them within 24 hours of booking. The agent was surprised as they were different days (yes my fault) but said OK and fixed it at no cost. Virgin should do this at no cost too.

That's pretty rough of VA! I made a mistake once when booking for a group, and swapped people/flights around… even Jetstar fixed it for free when I called.

I think things have changed with VA and "Same Day" policy applies:

Void transaction general restrictions:

• Virgin Australia permits voiding of initial ticket issuance, exchange, reissue or refund transactions.
• Void must be completed prior to midnight on the same day as the incorrect or unwanted transaction, resulting in document issuance
