For anyone looking for a American Express Platinum Edge with no annual fee for the first year (save $195) and 13,500 bonus membership reward points, Priceline (the pharmac_) currently has an offer going.

If you are interested you can apply here: https://www.priceline.com.au/amex

Catches are that you need to be a member of the Priceline club (free to join) and spend $200 at Priceline in the first 90 days (harder unless you plan on getting sick or washing you hair a lot ).

Comes with all the usual Platinum Edge Features:

  • Free domestic flight on Virgin Australia each cardholder year
  • Travel and purchase protection insurances
  • 3 Membership points earned per $ spent at supermarkets, 2 points earned per $ on fuel, and 1 point per $ everywhere else except for utilities and Canberra

If you want the full 15,000 membership reward points you need to apply through the usual referrals:
AMEX Platinum Edge Credit Card (AMEX Platinum Edge - 15,000 bonus points): 15,000 points, $195 annual fee, includes free domestic flight

Note: Obviously there is nothing in this for me, ie no commission etc an no I don't work for or own shares in Priceline! :)
