Both amex and citi offer free priority pass with some of their cards. Now that VA have announced an end to the PP relationship making the card worthless in Australia, do you think amex or citi will change the benefit and introduce something new? I'm sure for some, having free VA lounge anytime access was a way to justify the large annual fees charged by both cards...

Thoughts?

I hope that they can come up with something - the removal of PP access at the VA lounges means I will need to rethink my Platinum card. On the plus side, I do have six months to think about it - before my annual fee comes up.

Whilst PP nigh on useless in Oz - still valuable OS.

Was recently in POP - PP gave me and buddy access to very comfy lounge - allegedly 4 free Margaritas / pax - we slipped 3 staff members a coupla bucks tip and we had frozen Margaritas and nice fresh sandwiches running out of our ears for 2 hours.

Similarly PP gets you access into LAS Lounge in Las Vegas near to D16 gate - lounge is a bit spartan but way better than being outside - long live free PP with Cent and SElect.

Interesting conundrum for me...I now have both Amex platinum and Citi Select. Both issue PP but Citi's card offers unlimited access to lounge for cardholder and one guest. What would PP centre in HK do when I apply for PP card as a Citi customer?
