I beleive anywhere liquor is served is supposed to provide free water in NSW.

Interesting, I wonder if DJ has to go by QLD laws and regulations (Where they are registered in caset that didn't click) or if it goes by the laws and regs. of the state that the aircraft departs from:?::?::?:

Or possibly the Aircraft's home base:?:

None of the above, they operate purely under federal law rather than state, just like airports do not operate under state laws when they were on federal crown land, in particular planning laws for instance, because they are covered specifically by federal regulation which has precedence.

There used to be a very handy grog shop at ADL airport that had good opening hours ;)

Interesting experience last night. Gold velocity member travelling on a Flexible fare.

Arrived at the Lounge with BP in tow. Lounge staffer looked at BP and commented on how "coughpy that seat allocation is". She moved me to Row 3 and blocked out the middle seat. Flight was nowhere near full so no need to utilise the PE seats otherwise.

Sign of things to come or just luck of the draw?

Could be just that you really are a Gold and deserve a break here and there.

What probably surprises me is that the staffer used the word "coughpy" :)

Flying back from PER to MEL on Wednesday evening - and I (along with about 5 others on-board) was given a free bottle of water before the first food/drink service. I was advised that this was because we were Velocity Gold. Has anyone else seen this before?

I know water isn't a big deal, but it was a nice touch nonetheless.

How generous of them.

When I fly on Qantas I always get a free bottle of water if I ask for one, as well as a cup of coffee, or a coke, or a mineral water, and a snack. And at certain times of the day (after 4pm i think) I am even offered a bottle of wine. Thats service.

It was in context and appropriate given the conversation to that point (I'd used the word "coughpy" to describe my day when she asked, so I didn't have any issues whatsoever with the same phrasing being reflected back).
