Hi
I'm writing a story for the SMH Money section about the value-for-money of rewards schemes, including frequent flyer schemes. I'm looking for one or two people to be case studies alongside the story -- Anyone out there looked at what their credit card is costing them in terms of annual fees, rewards fees, higher interest rate (as opposed to a low-rate, no-rewards card) in order to gain access to rewards or flyer points? Did your spending go up after you signed up for a rewards/FF scheme, as you became points hungry? Also, does anyone have a perspective on how rewards/FF schemes have changed over the years - is there more, or less, value in them? Are you finding it easier or harder to redeem points for precisely what you want? Case studies would need to be prepared to have a photo taken, and real names are used. Welcome comments generally.
