Hey Guys,

Thanks for everyone who has supported my Frequent Flyer Calculator App for iOS devices.
A couple of months ago Qantas asked me to remove the app from sale cause of issues around copyright and worry that people might confuse my app with original Qantas Frequent Flyer App in the iOS store.

After continuing positive conversation with management at Qantas Frequent Flyer department we came to agreement on return of the app to the iOS store. And version 2 has been released back up for sale- I have made the decision to make it totally free because a larger user base is more important to me then money. Noting that my app is not supported or endorsed by Qantas in ANY way!

New version adds an Advanced Points and Status Calculator that lets you enter up to 15 different segments, in different classes and can be open-jaw allowing you to add a break in your trip (this has been the most requested feature so far) for example bne-syd-lax | sfo-dfw | lax-syd .
Quite a number of bug fixes also included in this update as well, and a new history page.

Excellent! Just popped in my up coming trip to the US in mixed classes and fairs.Worked it out a treat! :)

Great stuff, I downloaded sometime in the last week or so.

Had a little anomaly that SYD-LHR-GLA in Y+ was returning discount Y SC for the whole trip. However, I just double checked and I can't repeat the problem on SYD-LHR.

Sent from my iPhone using Aust Freq Fly app so please excuse the lack of links.

Also. If any members are a QF P1 .. I'd love to hear from you.
As currently my app doesn't support Platinum Ones (cause I don't know how the Qantas Status page shows it)
But I'd like to fix that up.

Great program. Just a little suggestion:

Would it be possible to add the support for non QF flights?
BA or AA would come to my mind, as a start for the Status Bonus. (25/50/100% for Silver, Gold, Platinum).

All non QF airlines still have 10/25/50% (Y+,J,F) Cabin Bonus so that makes it easy.
The economy class is quite a hassle (Something between 0 and 100%).
Here you just could give the selection of the percentage.

There are quite some differences in Cabin and Status Bonus. So my SCs are displayed correctly, but the points are quite a hassle.
For my next Finnair flight in J, I calculated the points as NB in Premium Eco...

Hello Tryrolean,

in some respect it does support AA and BA flight. Any flight from within America and from UK to Europe will attract AA or BA earning rates.

It has been released for ages - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.adamware.FFCalcFirstClass
Just not updated. I decided that the fragmentation and split nature of supporting sooo many different devices sizes and speeds of Android phones made the user experience lacking.

Also I have had been having bugs with Silver Frequent Flyer Members and the app.

If any one is a Silver FF and feels like helping me drop me a msg.

Hi Tuppaware,

but it depends whether I book it under BA or QF code.
My usual feeder (MUC-LHR) gives 40SC in C, but as a Plat 1470 Points if booked with a QF code or 1332 if booked under BA code (which I do for my sole European flights), because of the cabin bonus.

Why do not make a choice between
- QF
- BA/AA
- Other Oneworld Airlines
--- First 150%
--- Business 125%
--- Full Economy (Y) 100%
--- Economy 50%
--- Economy 30%
--- Economy 25 %

Any thoughts of adding other Australian FF programs now mention of QF has been dropped?

Working on a version with Virgin Australia included - although it would be only for calculating sc's as the points is based on spend.
And maybe a cool feature is to have a comparison between SC earns on both airlines... we will see.

I have a secret killer feature in the works for QF FF'ers but I'm very closed lips about it at the moment.

Sounds like a possible idea to add into advanced calculator. I'll look into it. Thanks.

Great. Spend based points only applies domestically. Points are mileage based based on class of fare (plus status bonus if applcable) on international and partner airlines.
