Help!! I would like to take the family on holiday to (ideally) a Starwood Resort in Fiji; Bali; Hong Kong or Malaysia. June 23 (Out) July 3 (Return). We are flexible with the location but woud like sun and a great pool. I had grand ideas of using points for some of the flights and/or accom, but am totally confused as to what I can or can't do (not to mention the strong likelihood of getting avails. Can anyone make suggestions please? Points status is Qantas Freq Flyer 190,000; Citibank (not liked to Qantas) 109,000; American Express 103,000; and Starwood Pref Guest 5,800. Much appreciated.

What Australian city will you be flying out of? Although it's school holidays, you can get some cheap airfares to Asia so I'd be inclined to save the points for a longer trip like the USA.

If you go to coughet or Penang ie on the West Coast of Peninsula Malaysia it's the middle of the wet season however on the East Coast eg Koh Samui it's the dry season.

We will be flying out of Melbourne. Good advice re wet season. Koh Samui might be an option though.
