Again - how do you put points onto your kids account without CC spend, signup, wines. You'd have to have some pretty big EDR spends or be churning some crazy amounts of points deals that aren't tied up to being an adult (energy sign ups, fuel etc all don't make sense for kids).

It's surprisingly easy, and mostly via EDR.

Kids these days seem to need a lot of gift cards.

A few years ago an Air Canada FA told me that she knew of a pair of teenagers who were four-million milers, roughly lifetime P1. And you can't get there by doing anything other than actually flying, and what's more, on AC metal only. Apparently the parents were long divorced, one of whom lived in Ontario and the other in Callifornia and the kids alternated living with each parent weekly, always flying in J.

I was Thai Gold (then top-level) as a teenager and quite often staff wouldn't expect it, to much great effect for me usually when I whipped it out to assert my right to be in a priority line or some such.
