I am a freshly minted PS. Apparently I now get a free QP Pass - does anyone know how long this takes, as I am on the red-eye this weekend and would love to spend a few hours in the QP before the awful flight..
The Qantas Silver kit arrived within 2 weeks when I first qualified for Silver and then attained it again the year after.
f it is worth it, what suggestions do the more experienced members have for the cheapest way to attain it ex CBR.
does anyone here think it is worth chasing about 40 or 50 SC's in a run to get to Silver. with current bookings, that is what i will be short of attaining PS in my membership year which expires 31/7.
Am already QC member for another 12 months on corp rates, and while obviously you don't get membership at this level, i am getting a graduate position with one of the big 4 which i am hoping will provide a bit more travel next year which might help me retain it. only real benefit i see is the 25% bonus points and a free pass for a family member or mate.
Not really worth spending any extra money to get Silver status if you aleady have QC membership even taking into consideration the 25% bonus FF points for Silver status unless you plan to do lots of medium to long haul travel to take advantage of the bonus.does anyone here think it is worth chasing about 40 or 50 SC's in a run to get to Silver. with current bookings, that is what i will be short of attaining PS in my membership year which expires 31/7.
You said you wanted to get in there a few hours before the Red-eye... To my knowledge isnt it only open an hour before the first flight of the day? Or are we talking late at night?

In this case it would be late at night as a red-eye generally refers to an overnight flight. You said you wanted to get in there a few hours before the Red-eye... To my knowledge isnt it only open an hour before the first flight of the day? Or are we talking late at night?
PER closes after the last departure of the night and re-opens at 4:30am.PER is open all day.

the very kind Qantas Club staff changed my booking to the direct flight instead... It was a nice gesture but would have left me 30SCs short

There are 24 hours in a day. Therefore the PER Qantas Lounge is not open all day.I'd call that all day

Is that a metric astronomical day, or an imperial astronomical dayThat is a earth astronomical day correct. But humans usually use "day" as "awake portion" of the astronomical day.
