Day 20
I had stayed in Paris for a month two years before. During that time visited both Louvre and d'Orsay multiple times....was a bit unsure whether I wanted to go again, but finally decided another visit was worth it.

Musée d'Orsay
Back then photos were not allowed (I believe it's since changed).
So only a few taken outside of the exhibitions.

Musée du Louvre

As crowded as it might be, this is still the best museum in Paris, IMHO.
The key is to avoid the obvious traps, ie don't go in via the pyramid (personally I prefer the Porte des Lions and the Carrousel entrance), avoid level 1 of Denon Wing (La Jaconde, Victoire de Samothrace...)

Spent most of the time at Richelieu Wing.

The Rubens room is my favourite! 😍 (Okay technically the name is Gallerie Médicis)

French sculptures on level 1 of Richelieu Wing.

Moved to Denon Wing as there were a few paintings I wanted to see.

Titian - Man with a glove

Raphael, St George fighting the dragon

St John the baptist, no one was here! Everybody wants to see Mona Lisa but most don't seem to know there are other works by the great man....

Got back to hotel, seeing it was still daylight, I decided to go to the Promenade Plantée for a stroll.
* it is an elevated park built on top of obsolete railway viaduct from Opéra Bastille all the way to the Périphérique near Bois de Vincennes.

I don't remember much about the return journey. Other than that it was a complete nightmare😱
CDG Terminal 2 was a horror show, I couldn't sleep on the Paris - HK leg as it was afternoon Paris time.

Landed in HKG Sunday morning, I was exhausted. Then promptly slept the whole way HKG - MEL, on a daytime flight! Of course Sunday night at home couldn't sleep again.
Monday went back to work, role playing "the walking zombie in office"....

Jet lag is a cough. That's probably why I didn't go to Europe again until last year😅
But I have fond memories of this trip...writing this TR makes me want to go to Paris again,😀
Let's hope we will soon be able to do that!

The End.

Thanks so much for the TR. You take great photos and write good TR. Hopefully we will see a new one in the future (but I suspect it will be a while in the future)

Thanks!
It's always great to see such positive feedback

I'm not holding my breath for the November trip, probably won't be able to go overseas till some time 2021?

As for TRs, well, anyone want to read about my very first trip to Japan? When I knew nothing and fell in love?;)
