I flew BA16 all the way from SYD to LHR last week In J. It was a very vanilla classic rewards booking, via web, months ago and never made any changes to it, nor did the airline.

I’ve just noticed now that I’ve been given full SCs for the flight, and even more because it’s listed SYD-SIN and SIN-LHR separately despite being on the same flight number. 180 SCs in total.

Very strange.

I have had a couple of such events in the past...both times I brought it to their attention and was allowed to keep the ill-gotten points and SC's.

I admire your honesty! I would've just pocketed it without making a sound (and I would justify it as swings and roundabouts - e.g. compensation for all the times my AY coded BA operated flights were refused credit)

I was tempted, but I am one of those people who never get away with anything, so I figured it was better not to have something potentially hanging over my head!

Just had the same thing occur for LHR-JFK on BA. It was a completely different ticket (also classic rewards J).

I don’t actually need the SCs as I’ve already requalified for WP (even before the SYD-LHR SCs) so not too worried if they take them back.
