Future Flight Credits

I'm attempting to book some SYD-BNE tickets before they sell out on the first weekend of the border opening. Unfortunately it's not letting me book with travel bank or future flight credits? Is anyone else encountering this?

I have found one future flight credit but I can't seem to find a 2nd one, first one is only $145.00 but handy for an upcoming trip, the bigger one I can't seem to track down. One was cancelled in early April the 2nd one was for a flight in May.

Anyone had any luck with splitting up a Future Flight Credit? We are a group of multiple friends on the one booking and have a single travel credit. Likely to be an administrative nightmare. Hoping there is a way they can be split into amounts for the individual passengers and separated?

Is there a way to use a flight credit that doesn't cover all the airfare.
Flight credit $145 flight is $199.
I want to use the flight credit and then pay the balance with the credit card.

Yes it's possible to do this however a word of warning to all is be careful.

When booking flights with future flight credits (even fully flexible refundable economy tickets) the best refund you'll ever get is another future flight credit. So if you've got a $200 future flight credit and are booking a Freedom economy ticket worth $1000, by paying the remaining $800 on card this would also become a future flight credit in the event of a cancellation.

This seems to be a common theme. Economy conditional credit fares are plentiful and if you've got a reasonably small balance then booking a short domestic trip away is quite easy.

I do feel sorry for those who've got conditional credits from AU-LAX in Business class with some of those fares likely well over $10k per person.
I have 3 cancelled international flights with future flight credits. ugh. It is going to take me ages to work through them domestically. The issue for me is that you could not make a second booking until you had completed the flight from the first. At that rate I was not going to burn the future credits and there was no certainty that I would be able to use them. It turns out that I have been able to make three domestic bookings at a time.... one from each of the cancelled international booking cancellations. A lot of work in keeping track though. As I complete each trip, then I can now make a booking from the credit of that original flight credit. Sucks a bit though without the lounges. Am waiting to see who VA affiliate with internationally as to whether it will be worth the continued patronage without access to lounges.

Flying HBA-SYD soon.

The mid-day flight I could use future flight credits
The evening flight I couldn't. Even with Gateway fares available (just not the lowest fare bucket, I assume).

Quite annoying. So I'll use points instead. On QF.
