FX in Brisbane

Good afternoon,

Can anyone make recommednations as to where you prefer to source your Foreign Currency in Brisbane, specifically USD. I've used Travelex online a few times and just picked up in the mall, but any advise for other options is greatly appreciated. Essentially looking for the best rate either online or in a retail shop.

Travelex for QF points, otherwise try UAExchange a bit further up the mall on the opposite side to Myers. UAExchange have no comission fees and their rates can be more competitive but it depends on the type and amount of currency

That is the place that had the special a few weeks ago.

Not really but it is convenient. I was just downstairs a couple of minutes ago and the USD rate at Kings/Crown at Toowong is 0.90130 with no commission fees.

Works out cheaper than Westpac, Suncorp, CBA and most banks I would suspect.

Last i looked their rates were rubbish (admittedly about 2-3 months ago).

i always do the calcs - stop in at travelex and ask them what their best rate is. I've ended up 50-50 in the past between UAE and T'ex.

Depends on the day.

Used to be a good place on Albert street, opposite Rockinghorse but they shut down now.

Couldn't see the UAE one on Friday - I think it's hidden by all the works at the Wintergarden.

I'll keep an eye out though.

Shouldn't be. Passed it a number of times on the weekend. It is close to Ted's Camera Store. The rate they had yesterday was 0.90 USD with no commission.

Went past Crown/Kings Currency Exchange at Toowong today (hard to miss) and the rate was 0.9088 USD.
