Yes you must. Norway is beautful too and we did a cruise there on Island Sky. Loved the Lofoten Islands.

Thank you for your fabulous trip report. Of interest there is an Icelandic tv series on SBS at the moment called Trapped, very watchable, has subtitles.

thanks maggies1, I will check out SBS. It's hard to know how much to put into a TR but I'm glad AFF members appreciated mine.

I'm humbled by all the nice comments OZDUCK, drron, fifo and RB, and Iceland is certainly worth a visit. I read somewhere recently that travel is a privilege and it certainly is.
