I believe the BA lounge staff have the ability to look your status up. So should you encounter issues when they scan your boarding pass, just politely explain your situation and they should look you up to confirm it.

BA Longe staff friendly enough, however:

1. tried sending me to Business Lounge
2. said I needed my Platinum card ( said it would be in Melbourne)
3. said status was showing as saphire still
4. finally looked in back of system to see I had in fact hit emerald
5. kindly updated status to emerald on system

Now enjoying Club Sandwich and French champagne instead of pies and a beer ( not that there is anything wrong with that)

Gaining Platinum mid DONE4 trip.....will I still be able to access "First" lounges?I will have 4 days in London for the SC's to be processed.Question is do they BA bouncers just look at Boarding Pass, QF Card or Both??Thanks in advance.

Sitting in O'Hare F lounge, much nicer than Admirals Club! No issues getting in now that emerald shows on boarding F pass
