Galleries access... NOT quite 'reinstated'?

As markis10 rightly points out, the BA lounge access is listed here and has not changed.
I will raise this page with the QC team and have it updated for consistency.

The linked page has the following:

We are currently working with British Airways on the recent changes to their lounge access policy.

Red Roo: Can you please outline what Qantas are looking to have altered with respect to the current policy - are you working to have QC access to all BA Business Lounges (re)instated when flying BA, when flying any BA route connecting with QF (eg T5 access when flying BA LHR-DFW, QF DFW-BNE) or working to reduce further the access provided to QC members.

BD

Ok, so I'm a QC member, and travelling RTW (discount Y) on QF and BA this November / December.

I on the QF29 MEL - HKG, where I then spend 3 nights before flying out on BA28 to LHR then connecting to BA990 to TXL.

My question is, does the stopover in my journey break the rule that I must be 'travelling between Australia and the UK via Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong...'. It's not clear whether it requires one continuous journey or whether it can be broken up.

What would be wonderful is some kind of an official 'QF and Partner lounge access calculator', where you put in your status level (P1 / P / G / S / QC) the dates, flights and destinations, and it spits out the lounges you can access, relevant to the terminals (and times) you're going to pass through. Any half decent php / mySQL coder could whip something like that up in a day. If integrated into the QFF 'My Bookings' information, well, that'd be perfect ;-)

Sadly, nobody knows because, as you say, it's not clear. That said, the inference is access is granted when connecting, so less than 24 hours.

Isaac Newton. Achimedes. Pythagoras. No mathematician has successfully invented an agorithym that would do the job.

You would have access in HKG as that is a QF lounge. I would certainly try in LHR for access as you could still argue that you flew QF/BA via HKG as per the requirements. I did this trip earlier this year (FRA not TXL) via HKG/LHR and got access in LHR without showing my QF boarding pass.

Thanks for that information - I'll definitely try at LHR, hopefully the lounge attendants don't check too closely at ~5:00am in the morning.

Ha ha, 05:00 at Heathrow is like peak hour at Sydney!

Adding a note to Serfty's post:
On BA flight out of Munich, don't get your expectations too high of the lounge. It's adequate - once you find it - but fairly basic.
On the plus side, you should have a quick check in, and security is usuallly polite and painless.
Happy travels.

You talk about the new BA Galleries lounge or the old Delta Crown Room rat hole which is closed now for good?

I really like the BA lounge. It is quite convenient after security control. You just have to take the stairs or elevator one floor up.

The lounge is new, has daylight, a whole range of drinks and some snacks. It rate it in between the LH Business and the LH SEN Lounge.

This currently working with BA malarkey has been going on way too long. For me it's quite simple. At a point in time any QC member could access BA lounges anywhere in the world regardless of whether they were galleries or terraces. All you needed was to be on a QF or BA flight. Now you can't do this and my airline of choice (QF) has taken way too long to resolve this.

Red Roo's capacity as an official airline rep seems be very limited and only chimes in with what he/she thinks might cheerful news but does not resolve the hard questions. If I had taken as long as this to resolve something like this I would be out of a job. I have posted on this thread and th original one before and am frankly am sick of the lack of a clear resolution.
The line on the QC access section about currently working with BA changes has been there for six months. What is this a local government DA planning approval? For gods sake get a resolution QF/red roo/Alan Joyce/Lesley Grant or some other muppets that actually gives a rats about its customers.

Rant over can't wait for the official company rep to fix it for me.

Everything is relative, and if the MUC lounge suits you, that's fine, of course.

My assessment was in the context of a comparison between MUC and BA LHR T5 facilities and amenities. We use both numerous times a year and they are entirely different worlds.

I can't comment on the LH facilities.
