WOW, that's some discount!

Yup 190,000 mile first class ticket to Europe would be what 19,000.

Been looking around for the last hour trying to find ways to get some points alas it doesn't look to be easy if one doesn't already have an account.

Imagine if you could buy the points for around US$0.015 each. That F flight would cost USD 285 + any fines.

One mile at a time has a few posts about this deal. It might help those trying to utilise it.

Tried a few times to register this morning and am just getting this

Error :

  • Service is not available. Please try again

i believe company policy is we have to physically bring the paper form into a local office to complete the purchase. some offices allowing forms to be faxed but certainly the exception rather than the rule.
lots of talk also about having to need to go to the office to get ticketed which isn't too hard in Australia however also need the physical garuda card which might be tricky if just signing up now

Thanks, found this on their site, you are correct 50k points per annum. (US$30 per 1000 miles)

https://garudamiles.com/TopHome/earn-miles/buy-mileage/

Its a paper form too, joys.

Can you buy points in one of the Australian office? Some claim you can only buy points by physically going to the head office which would be a no go for most people.

I wish this process were more straight forward. Barriers to entry are just too much even with such a good deal.

The barriers to entry are good because it means availability of award seats should be greater.

What error? I had password errors because it didn't match all the requirements. Fixed it up and worked fine..

I'm getting a persistant error on after filling out the signup page:
'Service in not available. Please try again.

Edit: Got it to work now, but also have been allocated 3 account with unique account number to the one email address. if your trying to sign up and have this error, keep an eye on your email address for confirmation of account created. Hopefully this won't cause me any headaches.

Dang, presumably those who have reserved the 90% off seats would still be able to follow through with their booking considering Garuda's justification via twitter is that all promo seats are gone.
