I got spend $180 for 2500 points... even worse is I saw the deal in my app yesterday and activated it, spent the $180 yesterday and saw today in the T&C's it's the 25th to the 27th. I thought the deal being there and ready to activate meant it was within the spend period, think I'll get credited or no go?

Let's not go into the 8000 point bonus I got last Tuesday after doing the main shop on Monday!

I need to do a big shop this week - come on Coles - pull your finger out

My offer is spend $70 for 2800 points.I've had it (I think) two or three weeks in a row now. Being a two person household, I can probably do it once if I stock up on some non-perishables but not for multiple weeks in a row.

Yes, I just spent $210 (pooled purchasing with a family member) for 8,400 points. Coles is our go-to for groceries and so Flybuys just makes sense. With bonus points stacking, it is a nice little earner for what is an essential spend.

Collect 10,000 BONUS POINTS or $50 off your shop when you spend $60 or more each week for 4 weeks!

This one is doable.

Very doable, indeed ! My offer was 10,000 points for spending $180 each of four weeks ... Yeah, nah.

Interesting how a higher spend doesn't equal a higher reward, 10 000 bonus for $180/wk for four weeks here as well.

I didn’t think that prepaid phone / wifi vouchers count?

I just notice in an an offer I got yesterday for 750 points for $10 spend at Coles Express that they specifically list "Grab the newspaper or recharge your prepaid telco products" as one thier suggested ideas on how to rack up $10 spend at coles Express... along with buying ice, firewood and milk, bread etc.

Also my 10,000 points offer today was for $90 x 4 weeks. For eventual 4,350 Velocity points it's OK, but not great. Will do week 1 as I need to spend that much this week on stuff. Then see how it goes and what Woolies offers come along during same period.

This offer came after eight straight weeks of the same 2,000 points for $120 spend which I did not action.

Boss lady of household, decided to buy other food stuff, so couldn't do the "experiment" of only buying only the $150 mobile broadband recharge to see if Coles/FB would issue 9000 FB points.
So other items, plus mobile broadband recharge, did give me via family pooling transfer of FB points, of 9000 points.
I think this could be the last of the easy ones for me at least for a while, have had $150 x 4 for 6000 FB points.
Not sure of their (FB) cycle, ie, how they decide to reel us in to make us buy from Coles.
Haven't seen this 9000 FB offer, in the past, so not sure when it will come to me again.
$90 for 1000 FB points, regular as clockwork via tear off slip, $50 for 1000 FB at bottom of receipt, (good idea to always say yes to receipt, I used to say no receipt), ... 1000 FB for $50 purchase, is quite good, haven't seen this one before, she just told me it was on receipt.

She who must be obeyed, has said, always activate any offer from Coles/Woolworths, then you or I won't have to remember if we have activated it, and made the min purchase at either, go get the points.

Sorry, last of this from me, there must be a trigger somewhere, that FB knows, when we have not had any/or only made less than normal activity and then "sweeten" the pot so to speak.
Maybe they know if we have not bought from Coles, we must have gone over to the opposition, as in Woolworths.
Higher spend, it seems indeed does not mean more FB points, does not make sense how they do it, for either FB/Woolworths.

I open the Coles email and do not register if the amount is not low enough. This will register with Coles that I have looked and not interested. Condition down their expectations of what I can spend.
If your offer is spend $60 for points then you can ask the cashier to settle your purchase when you reach say $65. Then run the rest of your purchase through and pay separately but do not swipe your FB card.

Unless you pay with another card, never used in conjunction with your FB card, or pay the balance with cash, they will have already linked your FB card to your payment card(s) and can/will track your spending that way. This tracking was a key section of the recent ACCC report into Loyalty Programs.

Good point. Change cards for payment.

Does anyone know if they also cross link FB cards when paying by Coles gift cards that have been purchased using a credit card that has been used with other FB cards?
