Oh wow Masks are not even on the hierarchy of control! And right at the bottom of the list and least effective are respirators ie the mask that is attached to your face like a pilots breathing oxygen breathing apparatus - so please wear that to work🙃 if you believe the stuff you write - and may I say without any shred of evidence.

Also Mr Petty not Phil Kern!
Are you a real person?

Hmmm. I guess I should get on with having mine if that's the recommended timeframe. I'm going for some weeks so don't want the protection to wear off whilst I'm away.
Well, my wife and I got our 4th jabs on 17 April, and I got Covid on 12 May (but I did tempt fate by taking 9 flight in 3 days).

Have to say it was quite mild, with sore throat for 3 days and light head cold symptoms, and my wife has had zero symptoms despite sharing a bed for the entire period.

So I can say from experience, as a 70+ year old, that a 4th jab does seem to be quite effective.

I shudder to think what getting Flu would be like though. I might go and get a booster shot from my doc...

Vaccine mandates should be banned not enforced against peoples will. My body My Choice 🤔. Go have as many shots as you want is my opinion but why to implement - on everyone else? While the evidence very poor evidence as they - Pfizer documents obtained under -FOI documents showed us that the did not want side effects written about for 70 years. Anybody wants the link?

You wanted it therefore but there is a vaxx mandate so your goals are briefly aligned. 🙃
Your body your choice

The chances of being allergic to every COVID vaccine are practically zero and for those people there is a medical exemption available. Everyone has had plenty of time to have at least two doses if not three or even four.

Again not the point if totalitarianism is your favoured method of control. Russia and a few other countries await you. Again let me repeat -my body my choice- also -

Vaccines at Warp Speed: 5,700 of the 45,000 subjects in Pfizer’s key trial were signed up by one doctor in Argentina. 1,274 in 5 days, at an unnamed site. Unethical

But those flights would have been the only place where mask mandates were in place, so how on earth did you catch it there?!!!

My understanding is that while the person wearing is offered some protection with a mask, greater protection is afforded if an person infected wears a mask, to limit the distance of any exhaled air.

Compared to America where masks were only allowed to be removed between bites of food or sips of drink, in Australia people seemed to be ok with keeping the mask off for the entire meal, or while ‘nursing a drink’. Limiting their effectiveness? This was especially evident in airport lounges and in the airport outliers.

In my experience as early as March there was someone right behind me in the jetway, not socially distancing, who had their mask off while making a phone call.

Social distancing is so 2020!

Ok. You keep trying. Thus far, we’ve gone between masks will eradicate, masks will “stop the spread”, I obviously caught it on a plane which is about the only place one wears a mask, I’m in my mid 70s yet it was extremely mild….. I am really struggling to keep up.

The OP on this issue doesn’t say they caught it on the plane, just they took multiple flights in a few days.

As to your question about how you can get it flying… I’ve pointed out many instances where covid protocols are not being followed by people, who come up with all sorts of reasons why the rules don’t apply… like two hours to drink a beer, or three hours to eat a meal on the plane, or in lounges, or while using a phone!

Is it a myth that boosters help prevent serious illness?

Just wondering, with some studies saying/showing third and fourth boosters are waning quickly (even those on mix and match) compared with those with actual infections, would the hypothesis be that the initial (double) dose gave original protection from serious illness (from the more serious/deadly Delta and before), but that now that since Omicron illness are less serious (eg less likely to go to hospital) even without further boosters.....

So basically per every other setting. Again, you’ve just made an extremely strong point for dropping this pointless mask mandate on aircraft.

Repeat... Masks don't work. They are a political instrument of control (Garb)

Well, I spent 3 hours nursing a glass of water in the CNS QP early this afternoon, I’m now nursing a respectable red in 1A CNS-BNE, I expect to nurse another glass of something in the BNE JLounge during my 2h layover and then tidy up the day nursing another respectable red in 1A BNE-PER tonight.

Hyuk, hyuk…

😜😜

I think you posted in the wrong thread, but, hey, it’s a much more sensible and interesting post than any of those above! :) :)
