Fingers crossed for Puss then. And yes, agree that there should be a choice for humans as well!Vet Update: Inflamed spleen that is pushing on other organs. They agreed that it was better for us to have the weekend with her, in case the worst outcome happened if they did surgery today. So Lucy booked in for exploratory surgery Monday and we have already agreed that if their medical opinion is that it is cancer and may be metastatic, that she not come out of anesthesia.
We can make these decision for our pets, but not human loved one. Crazy.
Oops, I thought you said in an earlier post that the cat was not well. When I reread your post I do see you said 'dog'. Guess I got that wrong. Just put it down to needing new glasses.Actually Lucy is our dog - a greyhound cross
Our cat is thankfully well

Been with us all of her life (12 years) except her first 4 weeks.
Agreed. My son told me today that the father of the mechanic that services all his business vehicles died after falling off a ladder. I had met him. At a guess he was mid-70s and in appeared to be in reasonable health, so still potentially with some good time ahead of him.
GOLDEN RULE WHEN OVER ABOUT 50: DO NOT CLIMB LADDERS!
I avoid them like the plague. A few dollars to get someone young to clean gutters or prune trees is money well spent IMO.
I bought a Mini to take to Europe, along with my S9 machine. I have very high pressures and the Mini couldn't cope. After about a week, it started cutting out during the night. I went to Resmed London and they were worse than useless. And there was apparently only one technician for Europe, based in Munich and on holiday. I ended up having to buy a new A10 in London This meant carting 3 Cpap machines all around Europe. The A10 was many hundreds of dollars cheaper in London so at least I had a bit of a win there. I returned the Mini to the outlet in Perth with a full refund.Has anyone here tried / purchased the Resmed AirMini travel CPAP machine? Looks an interesting unit account its (lack of) size .
See a sleep specialist and spend a night in hospital to confirm and then if confirmed another night to check what pressure is neededWhat is the process these days for getting CPap machine. Think my son might need it.
What? They didn’t give you a Video?A bit surprised to be given a copy of the Specialist's report to my GP and copies of the pictures - in living colour!
Wondering if I should post them here for 'posterity' . (No, I won't ).

Things may have changed but on the first night they just check if you do have sleep apnoeaMachines are auto pressure - no second night should be required.

Can't really say 'Like' to that. Sounds like you were very lucky. Far too many serious injuries from ladder falls. Didn't Cossie break his wrist badly recently while engaging in something similar?Agreed.
I overbalanced on a ladder a few weeks ago and had to jump and roll. The roll was onto some pickets that were lying on the ground.
A little hip bruising and lot of pride bruising were the only outcomes fortunately. It WON'T happening again.
Thanks. We head OS in 4 weeks and my CPAP vendor likewise recommended I purchase and use it before departure to see how I feel about it, full refund offered. He said it's about as loud as my S9 Elite, but louder than Resmed's newer Autosets. SWMBO can't hear my S9 nor feels any air flow from my Eson mask, so I'll need her approval as well for the new machine/mask.My suggestion would be to try to get one on a trial basis and use it for a few weeks before heading off on holidays.
