Yes. And pertussis vaccination is a must. So, for an oldie who has never had measles and mumps as a child and has never been immunised as there was no such thing back then, is there a need to get the immunisation done in order to protect littlies with whom I might come into a lot of contact with?
I asked this question previously. GP would be the one to go to. Might ask DIL.I asked this question previously. Not sure if I've mentioned to GP.
I have a feeling I've already asked GP and he said not to worry. Daughter is fully immunised. Is she likely to bring anything home that I need to worry about?GP would be the one to go to. Might ask DIL.
Colds colds and colds. I’m more concerned about giving the child something and not reverse.I have a feeling I've already asked GP and he said not to worry. Daughter is fully immunised. Is she likely to bring anything home that I need to worry about?
Not too worried about colds. My wife's been sick the past 4 weeks and daughter was sick for 2 weeks at same time and is now sick again.Colds colds and colds. I’m more concerned about giving the child something and not reverse.
Wait til child care, kindy and school. Not too worried about colds. My wife's been sick the past 4 weeks and daughter was sick for 2 weeks at same time and is now sick again.
I've managed to miss both which is very surprising.
I see it with my nephew in Thailand. Some sort of cold or virus every week. How do you immunise against that other than flu shot?Wait til child care, kindy and school.
You don’t. Eventually you just get natural immunity.I see it with my nephew in Thailand. Some sort of cold or virus every week. How do you immunise against that other than flu shot?

Nephew had that one. Torture. Is it possible to immunise against it? I'd hate to have that as an adult if similar to chicken pox at 46. I almost died.Hand foot and mouth?
I usually take three fast-acting insulin injections and one slow acting one a day for diabetes. Plus two Diabex XR tablets as well.
I am very puzzled, as this is the third day I haven't taken any injections at all since - mysteriously - the two Diabex XR tablets are suddenly doing the job perfectly well all by themselves, something they haven't done for 10 years. I found this out the hard way, when I found myself voracioulsy eating anything sweet day after day, and still having low blood sugar readings.
I have had this effect before of my medication suddenly working far too well - but that's only happened when I travel to Italy. I've no idea why my body is acting as if I'm in Italy. I'm seeing my specialist Tuesday to discuss. Makes it hard to plan what to take overseas with me in a few months.

Renato
Interesting thanks. My sister has type 1 and was one of the first in Aus to use the pump when it came out. She also very rarely injects these days and seems to have to live off sugar rather than avoid it. Things are changing.
The prep is usually worse than the procedure.Rapid weight loss today and tomorrow as I prepare for a colonoscopy on Monday. Last time was 3 years ago where I jumped the queue based on no shows. I am now on the 3 year list and the medicos send me letters telling me that it’s time. A necessary evil and with the anaesthetic/sedative means I am off driving for a time.
