I must try for a SHCC.
Does that mean you'll actually have to visit a Centrelink office - Sacre BleuI tried but centrelink refuses to accept my marriage certificate. Change of name blah blah. Good for ATO. Health. But not Centrelink.

So today it doesn't like my Drivers licence. I have tried Digitial sign in. Identity is strong. But nup. Not for Centrelink.Does that mean you'll actually have to visit a Centrelink office - Sacre Bleu
So my GP last visit she said that will be for twelve months - of my three scripts only one is on the list so still have to pay over $60 for a doctor's visit
Yep. Been doing that.Try this version Commonwealth Seniors Health Card - Services Australia

4 days trying to complete the forms but would not accept mrsTMA’s marriage certificate either. Useless bureaucracy. Gave up in the end.I tried but centrelink refuses to accept my marriage certificate. Change of name blah blah. Good for ATO. Health. But not Centrelink.
I think this is my third go. I swear everything is perfectly entered on the marriage certificate. Five attempts and I'm chucked out again.Spent

My understanding is The saving is reducing the Drs fee and pharmac_ dispensing fee.please explain
Into the Centrelink office you go thenI think this is my third go. I swear everything is perfectly entered on the marriage certificate. Five attempts and I'm chucked out again.
This video is extremely misleading then. It states medicines will be half price. My Dr gap has increased $5 (now $92) Same number of visits. To Dr and to pharmac_.My understanding is The saving is reducing the Drs fee and pharmac_ dispensing fee.
The pills remain the same price. Otherwise the drug manufacturers would be giving the PBS a 50% discount
I'm on the phone to them right now.Into the Centrelink office you go then
I think I'm incorrect as well...states medicines will be half price.

poor you! Hope you both feel better soon.So all a bit messy at chateu tgh, the antivirals have made a big difference but I am still not well.
To add insult to injury swmbo has tested positive this morning.
I would go back on the anti-viral Valtrex (Valiclovir) first as it protects you from shingles. So in my post-chemo showbag of medicines, there is an anti-everything.
Three weeks ago, I had a severe hot, itchy pinhead type rash all over torso and back, which everyone (GP and specialist) agreed was likely from the antibiotics (resprim forte). Stopped them for a week on advice from the specialist, rash cleared up. Started again, as advised by specialist, rash back within 3 hrs. Fine, he said, stop the antibiotics and I'll suggest a different one. Despite chasing up both GP and specialist, several times, they have not come back to me with any replacement antibiotic - maybe because I am quite allergic with already known allergies to penicillin, amoxcillin, keflex, and erythromycin. They also swapped me off the pantoprazole (whoch might cause rash) to esomaprazole, which I have previously taken for years with no side effects.
Three days ago, I got a different rash - much bigger blotches, all over the torso, back and neck. Very red, and prickly, but not too itchy and not hot. I have no temperature. Googled and found that rash is an uncommon side effect of both the antiviral (valaciclovir) and the antifungal (fluconazole). Given the relative disengagement of the doctors on the previous rash, I just decided to do the same approach myself, so stopped both of them yesterday, and the rash is already receding. I will wait a few days and then resume. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which one is the most likely culprit? That way I can test it first by resuming it first to confirm the allergic reaction, and then just add in the one that is not a problem.
To some extent, I kind of don't care, but as I will definitely have a relapse of this leukaemia at some (unspecified) point in the future, I guess I would like to know which drugs to avoid in my future post-chemo medication showbags!
Well. I'm sorted!I'm on the phone to them right now.
so there isn't any discount then, just a dispensing fee.I think I'm incorrect as well...
This should explain it better
Where it works is for people who pay the $30 general copayment for their PBS items will get it half price.
If copayment less than $30 the discount is less
Otherwise everyone else saves on one dispensing fee
so there isn't any discount then, just a dispensing fee.
