Guess we live in an inconsistent country for the time being.

I don't mind how I get my wine, I think some would take p@#s with self pouring.
Rough end of the spectrum of flyers.

Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney all in recent time.

It was self pour wine before covid.

I'm still lost why you can self serve something like pasta but have to be served soup (Melbourne on Sunday)

In Perth you can self serve cold items (using shared utensils), but ask for hot food, but can self serve soup.

Hey, frequent flyers :)

So, I've booked flights to Bali for 5 of us mid-2023, I am Platinum but I can't find any info on whether there is a third-party lounge in Melbourne international or not (and Bali).

Any advice would be appreciated :)

VA Plats are able to access The House Aspire lounge in terminal 2 prior to international departure and can take one guest who must be travelling on the same flight. There are no complimentary lounges at DPS.

Update on international lounge access

Virgin Australia international lounges are temporarily closed. We are continuing to assess the re-opening of international lounges as travel restrictions ease.

International lounges operated by our partner airlines may be temporarily closed. For up to date information on partner airline-operated lounges, please refer to the airline’s website directly, as provided below.

Okay, thanks.

Hopefully this changes in 2023 :)

I know when I went to Bali on VA in 2020 just before Covid, they had a 50/50 part-owned lounge between them and Etihad which I used.

Hopefully, that has been in hibernation during this time and they reopen it.

Have you recently been able to access the house as a VA plat?
