Getting a flight to the US at Very Short Notice

Our ESTA applications this afternoon took about 1 hour to process. The approval was delivered as a “change in status “. Possibly earlier approvals made it quicker.
 
Hell no - that is why she picked business. As I type she's passing north of Japan. The route takes her over northern Asia I think and across Europe and down into NY. It's a 17hr flight and she has around 13 hrs to go. A Stilnox and a lie-flat bed is a godsend.
I think that the QF PER-LHR flights take a similar route. Certainly about the same time. I so pity those poor baskets in cattle class having to endure that.
I think SIN-JFK is still taking a transpacific route due to Russia. Last time I checked anyway. Not going via Europe.

You're right. When I checked it initially on FR24 it had the flight path going over that way. Actual flight was up over the top of Alaska, Canada, etc..

17hrs or so, which I understand is similar too QF's PER-LHR route, isn't it?
