Are row 3 seats opening up for SGs during online check-in at T-24? I've seen seats as forward as row 4 open up at T-48.

Yes, if they're not already selected by WPs.

When you book the tickets set a phone reminder/calendar appointment etc to check-in as soon as T-48 opens - I usually get Row 3 flying outside of peak times using this method.

It's available to anyone at the airport/lounge.

Row 3 was blocked at T-48 and it still is at T-40.

I gave up getting Row 3 as SG so have been upgrading all my flights to business with points to hit WP... so I hope they don't make it too easy now for SG to get them too :P

I had asked a few times in the lounge or call centre or priority check-in but nobody ever wanted to do it. Also OLCI never showed.. [although this is over 3 months ago, all my recent have been J or XR]

Row 3 opened up just after T-24! :D Snagged those straight away. Need the extra legroom for a 2hr and 45min flight. ;)

checked in at T-48 for PER>PHE on the E190. The seat map looked like a non-refurbed E190 without business (they don't sell Business on these flights, but I thought they still had the seats). Was able to get seat 1D as SG. This will be my last flight as SG anyway.

Seq #1 but half the seats in the first three rows already blocked out.
