Does any one have any experience flying MH as a QF WP and can comment on your treatment? Obviously not expecting an upgrade, a, because I have status with Qantas and b, travelling with my PS colleague, but wondered if there was any real difference to flying with the Red Roo.

MH is a bit cheaper than QF, but I could also go direct with EK (QF Flight number) or via SIN.

A second question on the route via SIN, I notice the JQ Asia flights have QF flight numbers now - is this a new thing? I ask because there is the option to book a flex fare with a JQ Asia flight - would this earn at the full economy rate, or discount economy on the JQ flight?

No special treatment on board for WP on MH, obviously get lounge access etc but nothing like the on board bowing and scraping QF does :)

3K flights have had QF flight numbers for a few years now, a flex fare should earn at Economy rate - the QFF terms and conditions will tell you the 3K fare classes that earn at which rates.

Go with EK and you probably have a better chance of an upgrade but if not then the 777 Y sucks.

No problems on MH at all. They represent good value IMHO. Even better if you get some sleep. You were chasing SC's

From my experience flying Y with both MH & EK to Asia, MH does not pay any special attention to QF WP but EK may (50% in my case). With CX, the chief purser with a list on his/her hand will walk the whole cabin and greet all OW Emerald passengers and ask if there is anything they can do for you (bottle of water, wine from J, etc.) They will do that to OW Sapphire occasionally as well.

No special treatment on 8 x MH flights last week.
