Giving up on Malaysia Airlines

Went to book a flight with them today, only to find you have to pay for seat allocation. No thanks.
 
To be fair, they aren't the only carrier who charges for seat selection.
 
BA charges business class passengers to select seats unless holding status. That's even more outrageous!

yes you pay something like $4 per seat.....not really too bad.
Are you referring to BA or MH?

BA's charges are quite a bit higher than $4, and as a OneWorld Sapphire or Emerald, MH will waive the seat fees in any class (as I know from personal experience).

Sorry I was referring to MH from an earlier post. I just booked 4 MH sectors and all seats were approx $4 each.
