GoCatch (taxi app) adds QFF points

Kitkatff, you can pay by app as Kangol described, or pay direct to the driver with cash or your card (paper tax receipt but no FF points).

Nope.
I see it as Qantas making money for its shareholders.

On Saturday I took another taxi in Melbourne, utilising The Go Catch app.

The taxi driver was actually really engaging ( yes...., I know that it is quite rare to finding an engaging taxi driver ) and the taxi driver and I had a good conversation about Go catch incidentally during the journey.
So according to the taxi driver, Go catch has picked up substantially since QFF has come on board and supposedly the number of taxi drivers that are signed onto Go catch is growing as a result.

My QFF points were in my account first thing this morning, less than 48 hours after I had taken my trip, so far so good with my experience with Go catch.

I couldn't happen to notice the clever use of "No surge Pricing" visible In much of their promotional marketing since January 1..... In reference to anyone particular?

Those following this thread will have seen my advocacy of GoCatch in the past (I'm a user, no connection with GoCatch or taxi industry).

But I am now a disgruntled ex-user. Getting users to take up their app, GoCatch offered referral offers and even Twitter/Facebook "share" links in the app. I did share, and got about 5 referral credits.

Suddenly I launched the app and my account was locked. About a month of back and forth and I've given up, account still locked, apparently because I encouraged too many new users to sign up!

Well GoCatch can go get f....more users elsewhere. I've removed my promotional posts on social media and replaced them with critical ones like this. Nice work GoCatch.

To add to the negative reports. SWMBO signed up to go catch. On her first use the driver refused to accept payment via the app because they "don't have an account". Still pondering how the driver got the booking without an account. Haven't done anything about this, but will now.

Agree. This isn't enough to pull me away from Uber.
The only time I use cabs is when using an old fashioned cabcharge paper voucher thing, and that's no good with this app.

Surely these have gone the way of the dodo. The last time I saw a cabcharge voucher it had its own contactless chip inside!

I loved using this app to pick up small chunks of points here and there when out and about. Sadly the app appears to have died a death, with few and fewer cabbies using the app. A shame.

I've noticed that too unfortunately. Luckily ingogo is still "ggoing " and now with qff too
