This has some info - but is a couple years old. JAL has now introduced F on select domestic 767s as well (out of HND): JAL Flyer: JAL enhances Domestic First Class menus from June

The 2013 list was: for selected flights between Tokyo Haneda and Osaka Itami, Sapporo Chitose, Fukuoko and Okinawa Naha.

F is very nice. Amazing seat and some awesome food over Lunch/ Dinner.. The domestic JAL lounges are pretty average however

I have a bunch booked in January :'(

Edit: the F surcharge still seems to be OK.
Has anyone had any luck with that method? Are you able to pre-buy the tickets, similar to the Class J ones, or do you have to rock up at the airport on standby? I asked last time I flew CTS-HND but was told the flight was full (I was only there a couple of hours early).

F is now very attractive if it's possible for me

I will see if I can find F seats available for sale - I'm just under 90 days away from my first flight so I'll see what I can find. I haven't yet paid for my Class J bookings that I've reserved (I don't quite understand the JAL system, but it works) but will see how I go.

Definitely limited flights and seats.

The key for finding the F seats on domestic JAL flights is knowing which flights have the F cabin.
